As spring sports are gearing up for their seasons, the Sturgeon Bay YMCA’s DCY swim team went to state and now heads to nationals. Fifty-four of DCY’s team went to state this year, placing second overall for state teams.

Brock Aune, Luke Bousley, Emma Bousley, Brooke Strege, Riley Anderson, Molly Hall, Drew Rass, Katie Norton, Jacob Norton, Ella Wienke, Sanya Wienke, Zone Wienke, and Kemal Wienke are Southern Door’s student DCY swimmers that went to state.

Heading to Nationals, Southern Door Junior, Brock Aune, set his admirations high leading into his upcoming meet. During state, Brock swam the 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke, 100 freestyle, 50 freestyle, the 200 individual medley, and participated in three relays. He placed first in both of his breaststroke events. Brock makes his way to nationals with his 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke, and 50 freestyle.

Swimming Nationals is taking place currently from April 1st through the 5th, located in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Brock Aune, currently at Nationals, is swimming with two other DCY swimmers, Stella Kersebet and Christy Braun. Lead by DCY Coach, Mike McHugh, these swimmers spend this week racing in the pool.
